Our Firm is hiring an experienced Escrow Officer who will be responsible for working with clients, loan officers, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers to facilitate the closing of real estate transactions. This includes coordinating all the aspects of the closing process, preparing escrow instructions, overseeing title searches, managing the funds, and organizing the final paperwork.
Primary responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of escrow transactions in residential, refinance, relocation, and commercial transfers.
- Reviewing and interpreting contracts, agreements, and the escrow instructions for compliance and accuracy.
- Handling all financial aspects including receiving and processing payments, preparing estimates and final statements, and disbursing funds.
- Establishing new escrow accounts and monitor escrow accounts till the closing of transactions.
- Coordinating with title departments to clear all recording and title issues prior to closing.
- Ensuring all escrow transactions are legally compliant throughout the process.
- Resolving any discrepancies or complications that may arise during the escrow process.
- Building and maintaining relationships with real estate agents, lenders, mortgage brokers, clients, etc.
- Conducting closing processes, educate parties regarding escrow documents, and obtain all necessary signatures for the transaction.
- Keeping up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an escrow officer.
- Strong knowledge of escrow process, title insurance, real estate regulations, and customer service best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and escrow systems.
- Relevant certification is required.
