We are looking for an Assistant Product Developer who will bring support, clarity, organization and above all else, personality to our team of Product Developers. It is important to us this person has the energy and desire to aid in the execution of all activities that are deemed necessary to produce manufacture-ready products. This person is also someone who is capable of driving success even with a wide range of diverse responsibilities anywhere between bee keeping and wizard training. Ideally this person is someone who can twirl flaming batons with their eyes closed, while hopping on a pogo stick, without neglecting safety or Terms of Engagement requirements. The notable responsibilities of the Assistant Product Developer are:
- Data Tracking and Management
- Complete ownership of all fabric and product attributes.
- Detail oriented to ensure accuracy of data at all times
- Retrieving data from Cross-Functional teams and field/vendors to update multiple tracking files and systems.
- Highly proficient in Excel (large data tracking, pivots, data transfer, v-lookup
- Extremely organized and responsive to high email volume and maintaining clear and effective communication with field and vendors.
Managing PLM and Systems
- Product placement in PLM
- All fabric information and color/pattern record keeping, including sustainability data
- Maintain BOM data in PLM and track the finalization and release to vendors
- Work with Product Integrity team to review and approve testing concessions and waivers
Product Development (to support Product Developer)
- Initiate and track fabric testing and test results to report to Product Developer
- Coordination, release and receipt of Color and Lab Dips, CAD, Artwork, and H/Ls as it relates to Commercial Sample Yardage
- Participate in Proto Fittings by assisting the Garment Developer
- Assist in Full Package development
- Coordination and execution of Product Engineering Review and sealing of the product line for bulk approval to include product risk, testing and resolutions.
- Manage Commercial Samples; PO issuance and receipt, review and finalize for bulk release
- Assist in the substantiation of all product claims (tracking and ensuring receipt of certifications)
- Assist with costing data and maintaining accuracy of data in systems.
Team Player
- Ability to self-manage and work independently while continuously communicating their work and progress to the Product Developer
- Ability to problem solve and come to the table with creative solutions
- Collaborate with our teams cross-functionally to improve alignment in better supporting our brands' GTM deadlines.
- Collaborate with Financial Team with timelines in regard to Debit Notes issuance for Proto & Commercial Sample yardage liability
- Always ready and willing to help when needed, and always showing up with a positive attitude
What the Assistant Product Developer already has:
- Bachelor’s degree, however, a combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a position that required the manipulation of large amounts of data using various spreadsheet applications
- Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities with proven systems knowledge and expertise
- Garment production and/or product development experience preferred
- Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities
- Expert knowledge and proficiency with MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Extremely strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast-paced environment and an ability to not become frustrated with last-minute changes
- Impeccable communication skills across all channels with an ability to get the message across over Teams Chat, email, phone, or via face-to-face meetings when necessary.

- Demonstrated ability to learn new computer programs quickly
