Qualifications and Experience
- Three years of experience managing information technology projects including:
- Managing project teams of technical, program, and contract staff to complete tasks within estimated time frames and budget
- Creating and managing project schedules, scope, and budgets v. actuals
- Managing issues and risks
- Developing and delivering formal status updates and presentations to project sponsors
- Managing contracts, monitoring vendor performance, and building productive relationships with vendors
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or a minimum of five years equivalent work experience
- Preferred Experience or Skills / Abilities
- Familiarity with NIST CSF (Cyber-Security Framework)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience working in the governmental sector (local, state, or federal)
NCSR Coordinator General Duties and Responsibilities
Over the course of the NCSR Contract, the coordinator will communicate with STS and vendor executive management, STS and vendor staff, and entity project participants to make decisions, monitor progress, and keep the project within an evolving timeline. Responsibilities include:
- Creation of long-term and short-term plans including setting targets for milestones and sticking to timelines
- Delegating tasks to the vendor
- Making decisions on how to progress the project given multiple options
- Serving as point of contact for vendor teams and entities
- Synchronizing with STS to keep the project aligned with STS goals
- Performing quality control to maintain expected standards
- Adjusting schedules and targets as the project evolves
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the vendor to maintain a database of 1,332 entities with contact information
- Manage the vendor
- Work with the vendor on the communications plan and implementation of that plan
- Act as liaison between entities and vendor when there are conflicts or kudos
- Liaison between vendor and CISO and CIO and governor, etc.
- Review POAMs to ensure they are complete and reasonable
- Track progress, including blockers or entities that do not desire our help
- Track burn rate
- Weigh in on invoices
- Approve Phase 2 work
- Keep up with who is registering with NCSR
