Entrusted Advisors is actively seeking a talented mid-level L&E compliance attorney with significant experience for a remote, 3+ month engagement within the L&E team of a global energy company. The attorney will support the internal legal team in assessing California law compliance, advising on priority risk areas, and shaping the overall compliance strategy in collaboration with HR and the legal team. This role requires a combination of high-level advisory expertise and practical, hands-on implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on compliance with California laws and regulations.
- Assess risk areas and assist in prioritizing legal and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including HR, to ensure compliance initiatives are effectively implemented.
Ideal Candidate:
- Mid-senior level attorney with substantial in-house experience in compliance for a global company.
- Extensive knowledge of California law is required (there is no requirement to be based in California).
- Experience in the energy sector is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategic advice with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
