Position: Sr. Project Manager(Security)
Client: Insurance Company
Location: New York, NY/ Bethlehem, PA/ Holmdel, NJ/Stamford, CT
Duration: 8 months of contract + possible extension
Work Schedule: 2-3 days onsite per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager (PM) to join our Security team. The PM will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of Security projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of Security principles and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are executed in alignment with organizational security goals and IAM standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external partners, to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on Security projects.
- Strong understanding of security concepts, including identity governance, authentication, authorization, and access management technologies.
- PMP, CISSP, or similar project management and security certifications are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
