Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Location: Downtown, NY
Salary: 100-150K DOE
Qualifications
- Candidates must be admitted to practice in the State of New York with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Workers Compensation Attorney
- The ideal candidate will possess strong time management, writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Admitted to practice in New York State
- JD from ABA accredited law school
- Strong understanding of New York’s Workers Compensation insurance law and regulations, and American Arbitration Association (AAA) procedures
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Managing and organizing worker's compensation caseload from start to finish
- Attend hearings and depositions (virtual and in-person)
- Effectively communicating with clients to keep them apprised of the status of cases and ensure that their needs are met
- Other document preparation as needed
- (Note: This position may require travel within the five boroughs of New York City and Long Island.)
