Youth Development Specialist Pay Range:
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Salary: $18.60 - $22.75 DOE ($2/hr. NOC shift differential included)

Overview:
As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the Psychiatry Department at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH), you will play a key role in supporting psychiatric providers and clinical staff. Your performance will directly impact client care, medication management, and the overall efficiency of the psychiatric clinic. This role involves client care, lab work, accurate record-keeping, and contributing to comprehensive treatment plans.
Performance Expectations:
- Client Care & Medication Administration: You’ll be responsible for administering medications, obtaining vital signs, and performing injections (Deltoid, Gluteal, Intradermal, Subcutaneous). Accuracy and timeliness in these tasks are critical to ensure patient well-being.
- Documentation & Confidentiality: Document client information, concerns, and symptoms in the KBBH electronic health record (EHR) system with 100% accuracy. Maintain client confidentiality in all interactions.
- Medication Management: Monitor client reactions to medications, report side effects, and ensure medication inventory is secure and accurately recorded.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with psychiatric providers, nursing staff, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive client care. Communicate effectively with clients and families, providing education and addressing concerns.
- Emergency Response: Act promptly in medical emergencies, such as allergic reactions or overdoses, and seek immediate medical assistance when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and perform basic nursing duties under physician and RN guidance.
- Ensure client rooms and medication areas are clean and well-stocked.
- Provide follow-up and discharge planning, including medication education.
- Track and report on lab results, medication orders, and client health status.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and manage medication changes.
