Acceler8 Talent is working with the most exciting up & coming startup company that is developing specialized AI chips tailored for specific model architectures. They are looking for a expert Physical Design Engineer. Their initial product focuses exclusively on transformer models, delivering significantly higher throughput and lower latency compared to traditional solutions.
With our ASIC technology, you can create applications that would be unfeasible with standard GPUs, such as real-time video generation and advanced deep reasoning capabilities.
Key Projects:
- Oversee the outsourcing of physical design tasks to third-party service providers.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of physical design processes.
- Execute physical design workflows to achieve block closures, support ASIC infrastructure, automate design processes, and enhance CAD systems.
- Develop dashboards to track project convergence related to physical design initiatives.
- Optimize tool workflows by collaborating with EDA vendors to integrate the latest features.
- Ensure accountability for block-level closure.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in physical design.
- Proficient in tools, workflows, and design methodologies from RTL synthesis to GDSII sign-off.
- Experience with back-end design and timing closure for nodes ranging from 3nm to 7nm.
- Knowledgeable in UPF-based low power design methodologies, including power verification, synthesis, scan insertion/ATPG, formal verification, floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, IR drop, and EM/antenna analysis.
- Familiarity with OpenROAD and other automated RTL-to-GDSII flows.
- Understanding of transformer models and machine learning concepts.
- Proficient in programming with Python or other scripting languages.
- Highly creative with the ability to think from first principles.
