Job Description
The AutoCAD Technician will work with a combination of software applications, refinery drawings, spreadsheets, and databases to improve data systems, and perform basic duties. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution. The AutoCAD Technician will report to a Project Lead who will establish clear expectations in terms of work quality, efficiency, and technical development.
To fulfill this role, the AutoCAD Technician will:
- Create/modify CAD drawings including P&IDs, piping isometrics, and plot plans under engineering direction.
- Support implementation and long-term maintenance of clients’ data and documentation within Provenance’s software application program.
- Verify engineering data related to refining equipment using manufacturing documentation.
- Read and interpret engineering terminology and symbols.
- Analyze and modify data within Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
- Scan, copy and prepare documents.
- Enter data into various software applications.
- Manage files and records.
- Understand and comply with all Provenance and client safety procedures that govern the work being performed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- One or more years of experience in a professional/office environment
- One or more years of experience with AutoCAD, preferred
- High school diploma or a two-year degree from an accredited college or university
- Be very detailed oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, preferred (data manipulation and/or macros)
- The ability to type proficiently
- Other combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- The unrestricted right to work in the United States
