Sandella Sova Search Partners has been selected by a national insurance company to conduct a priority search for a Data Engineering Manager. This is a full-time, in-office role; relocation assistance to Columbia, MO is provided.
Insurance industry experience is NOT required for this position.

Summary:
Leads and manages a team of data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure the successful execution of data engineering projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and IT stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Designs and implements data integration workflows, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes using AWS technologies (e.g., AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions) to enable seamless data movement across systems and platforms.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, databases, and data warehouses in Snowflake, ensuring data availability, data integrity, and optimal performance.
- Defines and enforces data engineering best practices, standards, and coding conventions to ensure consistency and maintainability of data pipelines and workflows.
- Utilizes Qlik for data modeling, data visualization, and dashboard development to provide business stakeholders with actionable insights.
- Monitors and optimizes data pipelines and workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency, identifying and resolving data-related issues and bottlenecks.
- Collaborates with data architects and data governance teams to ensure adherence to data governance policies, data quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stays up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering, cloud platforms, and data analytics, continuously enhancing the team's capabilities and driving innovation.
- Prepares and presents progress reports, project updates, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required

Compensation:
$95,000 - $135,000
Profit sharing
Relocation assistance
