Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist contributes to the accomplishment of human resources practices and objectives and assists in the establishment of an employee-oriented, high-performance culture through the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The HR Generalist assists the HR Director with the implementation of policies and procedures and assists corporate managers with addressing HR issues. Must demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s goals, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with all levels of management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Employee on-boarding and off-boarding (recruitment, orientation, retention, development, retirements, and terminations)
- Employment verification and background checks
- Assist with employee relations
- Assist with the creation and dissemination of employee communications
- Assist with compensation and benefit research and administration
- Assist with creation, review, and maintenance of policies and benefit documents
- Family medical leave administration
- Assist with internship program and the selection of interns
- 401(k) plan administration
- Create and maintain paper and electronic files and documentation
- Fully adhere to company confidentiality policies
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
- Assist with day-to-day efficient operation of the human resources department
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or successful completion of PHR certification, and minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Must be able to read and interpret work documents
- General knowledge of human resources policies, government regulations, and employment laws and practices
- Experience in administration of benefits and compensation programs
- Experience with HRIS system functionality, ADP Workforce Now is a plus
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Training Requirements:
- General Safety
- New hires will receive Quality, Environmental, and Product Safety ISO trainings. Quality, Environmental, and Product Safety ISO trainings will be conducted annually thereafter and/or in the case of changes in the system.
- New Hire Orientation
- Position-specific Basic training
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in an office setting within an industrial environment which requires frequent interaction in a manufacturing environment.
