Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Vacuum Truck Driver with a Class A CDL and Tanker Endorsement to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to safely transport and dispose of liquids, sludge, and other non-hazardous or hazardous materials. This position involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, handling waste according to company standards, and providing exceptional customer service on job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate vacuum trucks for the safe and efficient removal, transportation, and disposal of various liquids, sludge, and industrial materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition and meets regulatory requirements.
- Safely load and unload materials using the vacuum system, ensuring proper containment and transportation in compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA standards.
- Adhere to all safety procedures while on job sites, including wearing appropriate PPE, following company protocols, and reporting any potential hazards.
- Complete and maintain accurate logs and records, including transportation and disposal manifests, per company and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to ensure timely job completion and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure the truck remains in safe and operable condition.
- Comply with DOT regulations and maintain all required licenses and endorsements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of vacuum truck driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and perform physical tasks such as lifting hoses, cleaning tanks, etc.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of environmental safety protocols, especially handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and operational equipment.
