Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Analyst - Volcker Rule
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible extension/Conversion)
Summary:
The role is within the Client’s Global Markets, specifically the Credit and Price Risk team, focusing on the Volcker Rule. It’s a first-line function within the markets, responsible for maintaining compliance with regulations.
Role Responsibilities:
- The main task is maintaining and updating the mandate documents for various trading desks.
- These documents explain the desk’s activities, risks, permitted products, etc., and can be 30-50 pages long.
- The candidate will support existing mandate documents, update them as needed, and ensure accuracy.
- The role involves close collaboration with IT teams and offshore support for document updates and technical issues.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Regulatory experience is beneficial, especially familiarity with the Volcker Rule, Dodd-Frank, Basel, or FRTB.
General skills:
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Risk management experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
Document Management:
- The mandate documents already exist, and the role focuses on updating and maintaining them as the business evolves.
Tools and Technology:
- The role will involve using the Client’s in-house systems for document management.
- Regulatory experience and familiarity with financial regulations would be advantageous.
