Archie Bolden is a multi-disciplinary design studio with a global presence.
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to support our design team in delivering exceptional interior spaces from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design, with strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of finishes, fixtures, and furniture (FFE). This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing innovative design solutions, client engagement, and project coordination. The Interior Designer will work closely with both clients and the broader design team to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design Management: Lead the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring that all design elements align with the project brief and client expectations.
- FFE Knowledge: Select and specify finishes, fixtures, and furniture (FFE) to meet design and functionality requirements.
- Client Communication: Present designs and deliverables to clients, clearly communicating design decisions and solutions.
- Construction Documentation: Review and markup construction documentation to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the architectural and drafting teams to coordinate design efforts and ensure seamless project execution.
- Project Monitoring: Oversee project timelines and budgets to ensure all deliverables are met within scope.
- Site Meetings: Attend site meetings to review design implementation and communicate updates or changes to the project team.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an interior architecture or design role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and a strong understanding of FFE.
- Communication: Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead discussions and ensure client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Strong ability to collaborate with and delegate tasks to design assistants and other team members.
