Are you a Stationary Engineer with a keen ability to identify potential problems and resolve them before they escalate? We are seeking a vigilant and skilled professional to join our team, where your focus on proactive maintenance and problem prevention will play a crucial role. As a Stationary Engineer, you’ll help ensure our hospital operates at peak efficiency, contributing to a safe and seamless working environment.
In this role, you will manage work orders and perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems and building structures, ensuring smooth operations. Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, boiler and chiller plants, plumbing, machinery, and physical structures. In addition to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and monitoring attendance and punctuality records
- Maintaining high-pressure boilers and related equipment, including water testing and treatment
- Ordering and managing engineering supplies, parts, tools, and equipment
- Ensuring compliance with administrative and regulatory requirements
Our ideal candidate has:
- A high school or trade school diploma
- A current High-Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer License
- 5+ years’ experience in plant operations and maintenance, including electrical work and welding
- A valid Certificate of Fitness to maintain and operate fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems with booster pumps, air compressors, and supervision of medical gas bulk
- Proficiency in electrical, carpentry, and plumbing for basic repairs and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent oral and written communication skills
