The Restaurant Construction Superintendent will lead and manage the construction of high-end restaurant projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and extensive experience in restaurant construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of construction, from pre-construction to final inspections.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise onsite construction crews and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Conduct daily meetings to review project goals, schedules, and safety protocols.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all work meets the high standards required for luxury restaurant builds, including finishes, materials, and craftsmanship.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
Schedule and Budget Management:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to address delays or changes in scope.
- Monitor project costs and resource allocation to ensure budget adherence.
Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for all team members.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
- Address any client concerns or changes in project scope effectively and professionally.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, change orders, and incident reports.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management regarding project milestones, budget, and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience as a construction superintendent, specifically in high-end restaurant or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes applicable to luxury projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
