We have an immediate opening for a Software Project Manager to oversee the DeltaV Automation Implementation at our aerospace location in Spokane, WA. The Software Project Manager will provide technical leadership in the design, development, programming, verification, and delivery of a connectivity solution for DeltaV process automation systems.
This role will identify the project/product requirements and develop design specifications for DeltaV process systems and all components for process automation systems, including software. This role will also provide technical support for automation interfaces to ensure that the process automation system integrates with the customer’s site enterprise system.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Generate detailed requirements for connectivity solution for DeltaV systems
- Perform the detailed design for projects by converting engineering and system design into drawings, control panel designs, and installation details consistent with the specification and functional descriptions
- Establish test plans to determine compliance with functional and design requirements
- Establish methods and processes to deploy, install, and configure customer specific control and network strategies
- Resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors and internal personnel
- Perform overall project Management role for upgrades and continued implementation of DeltaV during migration
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related STEM Major
- 8+ years of software implementation experience in an industrial setting, preferably process automation
- Demonstrated experience in project management specific to software development in industrial environments
- Hardware and software implementation experience
- Comprehensive understanding of and strong hands-on development experience with application development and system/hardware integration
- Demonstrated technical leadership capability
- Ability to develop simple approaches to solve complex design problems
- Able to work independently with minimal direction and balance multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent cross-functional teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Global project experience
- Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DeltaV v14 or newer
- Experience with hardware and networking design of DeltaV Systems
