We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 6+ month contract with potential for extension. This role requires a seasoned professional who can not only be hands-on with network infrastructure but also provide mentorship to a young and growing networking team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture and experience with Aruba, Cisco, SD-WAN, and DMVPN technologies.
Location: Hybrid role with 2-3 days per week onsite, alternating between Latham, NY, and Slingerlands, NY (close proximity).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of network infrastructure, focusing on Aruba and Cisco environments.
- Provide hands-on keyboard support for network troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
- Mentor and guide the customer’s network engineering staff, helping them grow their technical skills and understanding of network architecture.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and implement network solutions that align with business goals.
- Support SD-WAN and DMVPN implementation and management.
- Ensure network security, stability, and performance across the enterprise environment.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a network engineer with a proven track record in network architecture.
- Expertise with Aruba and Cisco networking technologies.
- Experience with SD-WAN and DMVPN solutions.
- Ability to mentor and train junior network engineers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex networking environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
