Role: Contracts Analyst - Supply Chain
Location: Houston, Texas
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay rate: up to $50/hr W2 (Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, LTD insurance)
We are looking for a skilled Contracts Analyst to join our client's Global Contracts team, focusing on their operations in Cote d’Ivoire. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, handling contract management and administration for high-stakes projects, including offshore drilling, production, and major construction in West Africa. You’ll collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth, efficient contract negotiations, execution, and compliance. The role also offers opportunities to support indirect spend areas such as IT, HR, HSE, and Finance, allowing for comprehensive professional development within our client's global operations.
This hybrid role is based in the Houston office, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key contact for contract management, ensuring all contracts meet the operational needs of the West Africa division.
- Conduct detailed contract analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support the SCM team with contract strategy, managing the full lifecycle from RFx events, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations to post-award management.
- Actively engage with internal teams to align contracts with company objectives and operational plans.
- Manage contract renewals, renegotiations, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance monitoring, ensuring all contracts remain compliant and deliver value.
- Assist in negotiating commercial terms, contract amendments, and change orders.
- Uphold corporate Supply Chain policies and promote adherence to internal compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract documents and procedures, ensuring consistency across global operations, with a focus on West Africa.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve contract issues, while driving successful outcomes in negotiations.
- Stay informed on negotiation techniques, applying best practices to achieve favorable contract terms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in contracts and supply chain management, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proficiency with ERP systems like Ariba or SAP, and strong skills in Microsoft Office 365.
- Understanding of contract negotiation and risk management.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
