As a Service Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to actively seek out, manage and nurture a portfolio of key accounts within the HVAC mechanical contracting industry. Your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service while fostering strong relationships with both new and existing clients. The Service Account Manager will use their expertise and industry knowledge to navigate customers through the sales process and ensure satisfaction with our products and services.
What You will Do
- Develop and manage a portfolio of key accounts in the mechanical industry specializing in service agreements, repairs and projects.
- Drive client engagement and satisfaction by evaluating operations through on-site inspections and offer expert HVAC & Plumbing recommendations that are tailored to clients needs.
- Proactively generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, emails, and onsite meetings with prospective clients.
- Identify growth potential with existing accounts, analyzing performance, and developing strategies to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and revenue.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking customer interactions, forecasts, and presenting updates during monthly meetings.
- Create detailed proposals for new and existing clients, outlining scopes of work tailored to their unique requirements.
- Follow up with submitted customer proposals on a weekly basis, maintaining communication to address inquiries or modifications.
- Tracks annual contract renewals, engaging with clients prior to expiration for repeat business.
- Maintain a competitive edge by staying abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and industry advancements within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and act as a liaison between clients and various departments within SVM.
Education, Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a HVAC Account Manager or Sales Representative required.
- 2+ years’ experience working with a Mechanical Contractor, Mechanical Distributor, Equipment Controls, or related field required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
- Proficient knowledge of HVAC systems and terminology utilized in the Mechanical industry required.
- Proven experience successfully establishing and managing a book of business required.
- Demonstrates strong technical aptitude and has experience writing grammatically correct customer proposals required.
- Proven ability to overcome objections and challenges with customers required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal team members and customers required.
- Highly proficient with various office equipment and programs including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Accounting Software or a CRM required.
- Possesses a valid California’s Driver’s License and willing to submit to a DMV report a must.
Compensation & Company Benefits Include
This is a full-time exempt position. The compensation for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 Annually and is based on experience and skillset.
