Job Description
- As a Citrix Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Citrix environments to ensure availability and performance. A typical day includes:
- Ticket Management: Respond to and resolve support tickets, including troubleshooting and configuration tasks.
- Environment Maintenance: Proactively monitor Citrix infrastructure via DaaS, inform regular updates to teams on issues, and ensure optimal performance of virtual environments.
- Knowledge Base Articles: Develop and update technical whitepapers and documentation on best practices, system architecture, configuration guidelines and, troubleshooting issues.
- Learning & Development: Allocate time for structured learning to stay updated on Citrix advancements, new tools, and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve support tickets.
- Ensure continuous availability of Citrix environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Stay current with Citrix technologies through organized learning.
- Collaborate with Build Teams to share recommendations on design and implement solutions that enhance system resilience and reduce downtime.
- Technical Skills Required:Citrix Technologies: Citrix Cloud, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (7.15 LTSR , 2203 LTSR) and understanding on Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, Printing (FSLogix) and more.
- Networking: Fundamentals of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, load balancing and more.
- Virtualization: Fundamentals of VMware or any other Hypervisor
- Monitoring Tools: Citrix DaaS (Mandatory), ProcMon, Process Explorer, Wireshark trace third-party monitoring solutions is added advantage (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Managed large scale/ distributed Citrix infrastructure solution deployments and have handled deployment & operations
- Proactively monitored and respond to tickets within service level agreement (SLA)
- Hands on troubleshooting Citrix Login and Launch issues for the users.
- Good understanding on compliance with hands on experience on Citrix server maintenance.
- Strong understanding of Windows environments and virtualization
- Proven experience in Citrix administration and support.
