As we continue to expand via acquisitions and organic development, we're seeking an Assistant Controller to bring strong technical accounting expertise and leadership to our finance team. This role is pivotal in driving month-end close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance, and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, working with the local accounting team to develop detailed workpapers and account reconciliations.
- Act as a technical accounting resource, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, consolidations, lease accounting and new pronouncements.
- Support the annual audit by preparing financial schedules and coordinating with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit standards and deadlines.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, ensuring the company is audit-ready and compliant with established policies.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting through consistent review of transactional data and adherence to accounting policies across the organization.
- Play a leadership role in our ERP migration, ensuring data accuracy, system efficiency, and integration across business units.
- Mentor and guide accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or similar designation.
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, with direct involvement in audit planning and execution.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and month-end close procedures.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to navigate complex accounting issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead accounting processes in a fast-paced, high-growth company.
- Experience with ERP systems and participation in system migrations or implementations.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed portfolio companies or entities with similar M&A-driven growth models.
- Experience in the service industry or a similar field, with knowledge of service revenue recognition and inventory accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate with teams across departments.
