IT System Administrator
Location: Houston 77002
Our client is seeking a motivated IT Analyst to support IT infrastructure and provide technical assistance to team members. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of both Mac and Windows environments and be eager to learn and grow in a challenging role. Experience with Microsoft 365 is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support to end-users on both Windows and MacOS platforms, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, network devices, and peripherals.
- Enroll and manage endpoints through MDM; manage inventory of deployed devices
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of IT security protocols and practices.
- Monitor workflows, system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Document IT procedures, processes, and configurations.
- Assist in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of both Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, user management, user provisioning, and automation.
- Experience with IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Basic networking skills, familiarity with concepts and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing IT environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) in a hybrid environment.
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles.
