My client is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of complex real estate development projects, including entertainment-based retail, multi-tenant office, medical office, industrial, and multifamily-residential developments in Long Island.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Manage change orders, claims, and disputes.
- Conduct regular project reviews and progress updates with senior management.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project teams, including architects, engineers, construction managers, and other professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance and support to team members.
Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and partners.
- Effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Ensure client satisfaction and exceed their expectations.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, revenue projections, and financial reporting.
- Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading complex real estate development projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and project scheduling.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
