Job Summary:
We are seeking a Scrum Master to oversee and facilitate Agile processes, ensuring the productivity and collaboration of our teams. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and optimizing team performance while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Ceremony Facilitation:
- Lead Scrum rituals including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Ensure team ceremonies such as planning, review, and retrospectives occur regularly.
- Manage and maintain data/boards in Jira.
- Delivery Process Support:
- Promote the use of tools for Agile practices and ensure adherence to usage standards.
- Enhance team productivity by removing obstacles and ensuring flexibility.
- Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress.
- Risk and Dependency Management:
- Identify and address impediments using formal channels.
- Manage dependencies from acceptance by the dependent team through to completion.
- Agile Coaching and Mentoring:
- Educate team members in Agile best practices.
- Guide Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritization.
- Use team feedback and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through retrospective processes.
- Partner in organizational change management and process adoption initiatives.
- Encourage innovation through experimentation with practices and frameworks.
Mentoring:
- Serve as an Agile mentor/coach to other Scrum Masters or Agile roles.
- Lead training sessions to support team learning and development.
Communication and Transparency:
- Provide transparency into the team’s work and communicate with various organizational levels.
- Proactively communicate status, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
- Ensure effective cross-team communication and manage dependencies with stakeholders.
Reporting:
- Develop actionable reports to communicate valuable information.
- Track delivery milestones and communicate risks or dependencies.
Team Dynamics and Culture:
- Document and review team norms quarterly (including definition of ready, definition of done, and Jira norms).
- Use retrospectives as a mechanism for continuous improvement.
- Address team dynamics and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure good relationships between teams, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a psychologically safe environment for the team.
- Protect the team from external influences and internal negativity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience in ceremony facilitation, team norms creation, storyboarding, and value stream mapping.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
- Experience coaching teams in Agile practices, backlog refinement, user story writing, and engineering practices (XP, DevOps).
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management, risk management, and dependency management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in team building, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
