Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects ranging from $10M to $50M+. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily construction, taking the lead on managing projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all site activities for large-scale ground-up construction projects.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to contract documents and within schedule and budget parameters.
- Collaborate with local jurisdiction inspectors, city and county officials to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Conduct and enforce job site safety protocols, including regular safety meetings.
- Delegate tasks effectively to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily on-site challenges and ensure smooth project flow.
- Provide accurate job progress and documentation reports.
- Ensure overall project success with a focus on safety, profitability, quality, and timely delivery.
- Develop project schedules and manage sequencing of work; implement recovery strategies when needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
- Regularly communicate with the Project Manager regarding progress and performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project Superintendent overseeing ground-up, new construction projects.
- Proven expertise in multifamily construction.
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities effectively.
