Health and Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs designed to prevent accidents and enhance workplace safety
- Conduct regular safety assessments, audits, and risk evaluations to identify hazards and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve safety protocols
- Deliver engaging and effective safety training programs
- Stay up to date with state and federal safety regulations, particularly California OSHA, ensuring all plant operations comply with applicable standards
- Serve as the go-to safety resource, providing guidance on compliance, safety standards, and continuous improvement strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in industrial safety or safety management
- Strong knowledge of California OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards
- Safety certifications are a PLUS!
