Mayzon is recruiting a Product Development Coordinator. Mayzon is a well-established company with offices in New York City, Montreal and New Castle, Delaware. This position is based out of the Delaware office and will work a hybrid schedule.
Description
The PD Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in a cross-functional team environment. This person will create elements for key Sales presentations and Business Reviews, working collaboratively with the Product Managers and Sales Teams. He or She will contribute to the development and management of product line plans and work with the product manager on administrative tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Researches, analyzes and delivers competitive product analysis and consumer trend insights both formally and informally through field/store visits, online research and review of trade journals; utilizes data gathered to assist in formulating plans for growth and expansion at both the sku and category level.
- Interface with internal systems to set up new products and make sure information is accurate
- Supports department in implementing product development strategies from concept through to execution and the consumer experience.
- Assists in the management of product portfolio on a SKU and category level to ensure profitability and an effective, efficient product line including the assortment/product mix and refresh/replacement/drop strategies
- Develops a deep understanding of customer specific nuances and requirements, including but not limited to: packaging, materials specifications, testing and retail targets
- Determine and provide product specifications, collateral, and samples for sales presentations.
- Manages sample intake, distribution and storing
- Manages Amazon SIOC and Bazaar Voice campaigns
Desired Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
- College graduate, 4-year degree required.Prefer a major in business, marketing, or management majors.
- Associates degree with 2 years of product development, marketing, B2B sales, Engineering and/or Design experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.
- Able to effectively communicate both written and orally
- Strong desire to learn and become well acquainted with the product process with self-starting attitude
- Excellent time management and organizational skills are a must
- Detail oriented
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively to ensure that deadlines are met with accuracy
- Positive attitude with ability to creatively problem solve and quickly tackle internal and external obstacles
- Solid business acumen
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite
- Interest in Home Furnishings is a plus
