The mission of the Project Designer II is to provide project designs, project layouts, and contract documents that are constructible, meet the company’s design standards, and client requirements. A Project Designer II should strive to grow personally by developing a specialization in one or more of four key professional skill areas: technical expertise, project management, marketing and administrative.
Experience/Education:
- BS Degree with possible co-op or intern experience or 2-year Degree with 5 years of experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5-7 years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
Skills:
- Intermediate level Computer-aided design using AutoCAD
- Intermediate level Civil3D workflows
- Entry level ArcGIS experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication skills, orally and written.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry and financial functions.
Environment:
- Predominantly office environment: some travel is required.
- Noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.
- Noise level on the construction site is often loud.
