Instructs and coordinates the activities of all personnel in the department to maintain top efficiency and productivity. Manages and maintains expense supplies as may be reasonably necessary to ensure adequate amount to minimize production downtime. Administers company policies and procedures as related to department. Administer safety, company rules and collective bargaining agreement. Assist in launch programs as necessary. The Maintenance Supervisor is part of the Maintenance department and reports to the Engineering Manager.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Conducts weekly safety meeting with each maintenance shift
Contact and coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Requisition tools, equipment and supplies.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
Maintains time records.
Maintain Work Order logs
Monitors maintenance contracts for compliance
Monitors and maintains critical spare parts and other spares
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities.
Manage and direct plant safety and the implementation of safety equipment as related to equipment when needed.
Manages the maintenance of accurate records of machines and other assets with regards to repair, drawings, diagrams and manuals and preventive maintenance program.
Ensures plant security is maintained.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining adequate parts to minimize machine downtime.
Follows ISO14001 and QS9000/TS16949 procedures/processes.
Optimizes design to produce quality products.
Participates in plant recycling programs.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformances related to product, process and quality systems.
Identify and record any problems related to the product, process and quality system.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
Verify implementation of solutions.
Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Applications.
Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance (Temperature, Vibration and Oil). Knowledge of Production Equipment and Machinery Troubleshooting following schematics and performance Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Knowledge of Mechanical (grinding, drilling, plumbing, etc.).
Knowledge of Tig and Mig Welding and performance light fabrication.
Machine Tool Practices (lathe, drill, mill, etc.).
Knowledge of Work Order Procedures and Performance.
Knowledge of pneumatic ad hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance (Temperature, Vibration and Oil).

Ability to read and understand welding blue printers and performance heavy fabrication.
Ability to understand safety work practices and enable to identify the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for job assignments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree Required. Experience with Maintenance Supervision for conveyor systems, assembly equipment, facilities and grounds.
