The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is a hands-on position that requires an advanced knowledge of information assurance principles and regulatory guidance to develop, certify, accredit, and maintain information systems that are integral to our customers, our business, and the success of our security program. The position is located at the company Headquarters in Fairfax, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the IT/Security staff and Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure the highest level of security, and to obtain and maintain ATOs for multiple information systems.
- Lead a team of ISSOs in accordance with RMF and provide tasking to keep programs on schedule.
- Familiarity with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
- Maintain the Information Systems (IS) security program and policies for assigned area of responsibility.
- Manage the oversight of operational IS security implementation policy and guidelines.
- Oversee/conduct periodic testing to evaluate the security posture of the IS.
- Ensure approved procedures are used for sanitizing and releasing system components and media.
- Manage/assist with the development and implementation of an effective IS security education, training, and awareness program.
- Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
- Ensure compliance of current Information Assurance (IA) policies, concepts, and measures when designing, procuring, adopting, and developing information systems
- Manage/assist with data transfer responsibilities other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Requires an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- DoD 8570 IAM Level II/ IAT Level II Certification
- Proficient with: DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD-503, STIGs, SCAP, IAVA, and/or NIST 800-53
- Experience with eMass
- National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements—and the ability to work with the FSO to implement and maintain systems per NISPOM standards
- Working knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and guidelines to include but not limited to 800-171 and Cybersecurity Maturity Model
- Developing and maintaining Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M)
- Risk Management Framework Authorizations
- Requires an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or corresponding certification
- Minimum of Five years of ISSM or ISSO experience
- Experience managing a SIPRNet connection.
- Extensive knowledge and administration of Windows based environments
- Knowledge of JWICS policies and procedures, and ability to manage the connection.
