Gentle Hearts is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our senior residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and fostering a warm, positive atmosphere for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
● Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in meaningful activities and conversations.
● Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and in accordance with facility policies.
● Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or mental health to the Resident Care Manager.
● Help residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents by performing housekeeping tasks and assisting with laundry.
● Follow individualized care plans for each resident, ensuring all their needs are met with dignity and respect.
● Assist with transporting residents to appointments or activities within the facility, using wheelchairs or other mobility aids when necessary.
● Collaborate with the care team to ensure the highest standard of care is provided, and participate in regular team meetings.
● Uphold residents' rights, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
● Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
