Summary
Responsible for UW global product procurement to meet customer demand, including strategic sourcing, supplier and cost management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve UW supplier base to Best-in-Class partnerships.
- Negotiate product prices and payment terms to meet or exceed company goals.
- Purchase product at a competitive cost without compromising quality and delivery from sources that are viable, innovative, and socially responsible.
- Establish and maintain strong ongoing relationships with suppliers. Make periodic visits to evaluate performance and quality processes, as well as resolve any production issues.
- Work closely with Category/Product Management Teams to assure product specifications are clear and consistently achievable to attain seamless new product introductions and model changeovers.
- Research, analyze and recommend potential suppliers to support strategic initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely supplier cost records in ERP system

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in related field or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of three years of prior procurement and materials management experience required, ideally in an international environment. Comprehensive communication and problem solving skills are essential. This position requires approximately 10-15% travel. Must be able to obtain a valid passport.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
