Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 Annually
Role Summary/Purpose:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of the shop transformation planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization. You will report to the Chief Engineer and work closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors and suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your role will involve managing project risks, resources, and communications, ensuring that all objectives are met to the satisfaction of company goals and objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with organizational goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Create detailed project plans, including timelines, and resources using PM Software (WRIKE).
- Project Execution: Manage the day-to-day operations of the project, including assigning tasks, coordinating team efforts, and track and update project progress in WRIKE. Ensure that project milestones are achieved and that deliverables meet quality standards.
- Project Communication: Manage communication on project status, issues, and risk on daily and weekly basis with contractors, suppliers, and PTI stakeholders. Facilitate meetings and presentations as required.
- Permit Management: Coordinate with property management, contractors, county and city the permit process application. Keep track of the application and inspection processes to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks in regard to cost, scheduling, technical, programmatic, and develop mitigation strategies with the support of PTI leadership. Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently and effectively. Coordinate with department heads to secure the necessary resources and manage any conflicts or constraints that may arise.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, ensure that the project remains within financial constraints. Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Implement quality control processes and perform regular reviews and audits.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and post-project evaluations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the project team. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide guidance, support, and training to team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
- Experience in aviation industry is highly desirable.
