Our client, a reputable law firm in La Jolla, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in commercial litigation to join their dynamic team. If you have over 5 years of experience, hold an ABA certificate, and are a notary public, we want to hear from you!
Position: Litigation Paralegal
Location: La Jolla, CA
Schedule: Onsite at least 3 days a week
Experience: 5+ years in commercial litigation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with federal, state, and appellate filings, including e-filing procedures.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
- Perform legal research and prepare case summaries.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and up-to-date.
- Calendar deadlines and manage court schedules.
- Coordinate and assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial binders and exhibits.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Conduct administrative duties as needed to support the litigation team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
- Notary public certification preferred.
- Proficiency in e-filing with federal, state, and appellate courts.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in legal research and litigation support software.
