Position Overview:
Our Wealth Management and Planning Analyst works with Senior Analysts and Advisors to assist with the wealth management and financial planning needs of clients. This position is responsible for providing support to Advisors including daily account administration, investment proposal and performance review preparation, as well as assisting in preparing deliverables that cover all areas of Financial Planning. The role will have a strong focus on administration of client relationships including account openings, alternative investment subscriptions, and various custodian-related paperwork.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Compile monthly & quarterly reports on portfolio performance
• Monitor and update client asset allocations
• Perform due diligence on investment mutual funds, ETF's, separate account managers, and hedge funds
• Prepare and coordinate materials for client meetings
• Compile quarterly tax projections
• Preparation and/or review of select client income tax returns (Forms 1040, etc).
• Support the Partners and their team by providing operational functions such as:
o Money movement (i.e. wire and journals)
o Account creation and maintenance
o Ad hoc project management
o Portfolio performance updates
o CRM database management
Qualifications:
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Completed or pursuing CFP®, CFA or similar designation
• Bachelors’ degree or higher from an accredited university; major in financial planning business, accounting, finance, or economics preferred
• Strong interest in investment advisory and general financial planning services
• Excellent written & verbal communications skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point. Experience with Tamarac, eMoney, Zephyr, Portfolio Center desirable but not necessary
• Reliable, follows through on commitments; a self-starter when it comes to new challenges
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and prioritize tasks
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment
