Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Project Coordinator to join a well known and reputable engineering consultancy HQ'ed in Alameda, CA. The role is hybrid with flexible days in office (ideally 2/3 days a week).
In this role, you will serve as the primary interface between clients and our engineering teams, ensuring smooth communication and timely execution of project tasks related to utility and commercial solar projects. You will assist in coordinating engineering requests, project timelines, and administrative tasks to support the overall success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, managing expectations, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineering teams to track project progress, manage timelines, and follow up on engineering requests to ensure completion.
- Documentation Management: Maintain organized project documentation, including schedules, reports, and correspondence, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and accessible.
- Meeting Facilitation: Schedule and coordinate project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes to facilitate clear communication among team members and clients.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the engineering team, including managing calendars, processing invoices, and supporting resource allocation.
- Quality Control: Assist in reviewing engineering outputs to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Reporting: Generate regular status reports for clients and internal teams, highlighting project milestones, challenges, and next steps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination or administrative support within an engineering or construction environment, preferably in solar or renewable energy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with solar energy projects and engineering concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
