Job Title: Construction Safety Professional
Location: Salt Lake and Utah County Area
Job Type: Fulltime, project to project.
Compensation: $42/hour
Duration: 1-1.5 year project, Immediate start
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Professional to join our team in the Salt Lake and Utah County area. This role is essential in helping us cultivate a robust safety culture and ensuring a safe work environment for our workforce and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will grow with our company, enhance our existing safety practices, and challenge us to continually improve.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and enforce compliance with company, General Contractor, and owner safety policies.
Provide on-site safety oversight, either full-time on one project or across multiple projects as needed.
Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate safety risks.
Conduct safety training and maintain certifications for the team.
Facilitate ongoing safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
Support the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Certification in one of the following:
Associate degree in EHS discipline or EHS-related field
Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)
Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction (STS-C)
Completed OSHA 30-hour training (OSHA 500 preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in construction and safety fields.
Practical experience in:
Confined Space
Crane/Equipment Operations
Excavation
Fall Protection
Lockout/Tagout
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced local site safety manager with a track record of overseeing large projects (industrial construction, data centers, etc.).
Proven ability to manage entire safety programs for sites while representing the owner or contractor.
7-10+ years of relevant experience.
