LT Foods Americas (LTFA) is part of LT Foods Limited, an emerging global food company, with Net Sales in excess of $1 billion globally, operating across a range of categories including specialty rice, organic foods and convenience rice-based products. The Company is engaged in milling, processing and marketing of branded and non-branded basmati rice, and manufacturing of rice food products in India & international market. LT Foods has a global presence including India, Middle East, United Kingdom, Europe and United States. Its operations include contract farming, procurement, storage, processing, packaging and distribution. Its rice product portfolio comprises brown, white, steamed, parboiled, organic, quick cooking brown rice, and ready-to-heat rice. This role will be responsible for the overall effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of LT Foods Americas’ distribution network. Working with others this role will be responsible for driving sustainable operating cost reductions in the distribution network while maintaining the service levels and quality our customers have come to expect. The individual in this role will oversee and be responsible for the four US warehouses, in addition to building and maintaining relationships with the 3PL partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Distribution Operations capability inclusive of all strategy and execution.
- Develop operating plans, with a focus on service, while driving continuous improvement and net productivity into our Logistics operations.
- Lead day to day operations of our warehouse function as well as build a strategic framework, roadmap, and network to support the long-term growth ambitions of LT Foods Americas.
- Own & manage all distribution spend, with responsibility for delivering the warehouse functional components of the rolling forecast cycles
- Implement, own, and refine processes, KPI’s and scorecards to drive functional accountability and deliver results.
- Responsibility for balancing cost and service to deliver against LT Foods Americas’ Customer and Consumer expectations.
- Develop and maintain effective productivity procedures. Maximize facility productivity and utilization
- Evolve and implement our Customer Supply Chain strategy to achieve sales and distribution objectives in all assigned channels
- Leverage, train and manage Customer Supply Chain team to grow and manage business
- Acts as both a subject matter expert as well as a project manager for key operational projects on cross-functional teams
- Anticipate customer problems and future trends, assesses opportunities, impacts and risks while developing and implementing solutions to meet enhanced customer growth
- Help revise and execute routines and process to proactively manage product supply followed by implementation of action steps to resolve them
- Develop reports and scorecards to communicate key business metrics and performance to influence the implementation of actions
- Recognize trends and steward back to internal and external partners, in order to influence strategy and development of the initiatives
- Provide internal partners with insights and perspective on customer’s operating model and how to improve supply performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics or related field and 10+ years of related Logistics experience, ideally within the Consumer Products space
- Experience developing and presenting and rolling out strategic initiatives, including near and long-term plans for distribution network
- Flexibility to travel
- Knowledge of Microsoft products, excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit is a must
