We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Construction Monitoring Inspector in the Greater Minneapolis area. The individual will work remotely and must be able to spend 30-40% of their time traveling to sites in the Twin-Cities area with some overnight travel. In this role, you will visit job sites, review contractor invoices, and prepare detailed monthly progress reports for our clients. Your expertise in general commercial construction will play a critical role in ensuring accurate assessments of construction progress.

What You'll Do
- Visit construction sites: Travel to approximately 50 job sites monthly (including some overnight trips) to monitor progress.
- Review and assess: Analyze contractors' monthly pay applications and evaluate construction progress.
- Prepare reports: Create monthly progress reports using established templates, ensuring accuracy and clarity for clients.
- Communicate with contractors: Maintain ongoing communication with general contractors to gather necessary information and clarifications.
- Work as a team: Collaborate with our diverse team, consisting of former contractors, engineers, architects, and developers, to provide comprehensive project assessments.
Who You Are
- Construction Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of general contractor commercial construction practices and documents such as AIA G702/G703, Change Orders, and construction schedules.
- Detail-Oriented: You excel at identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in documentation and reports.

What You Bring
- Experience in General Contractor commercial construction: Familiarity with job sites, contractor invoices, and progress evaluations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Technical Writing Skills: Ability to prepare detailed, accurate reports based on your site visits and assessments.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Capable of managing time-sensitive tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
