George Thomas has partnered with a leading plastic packaging manufacturer who is seeking to hire a Maintenance Manager for their facility in SC.

The Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing assets and facilities. This role includes managing budgets, resources, and supporting the design and installation of new equipment.
How will you add value to the team
- Ensure all work is conducted safely and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Identify and report food safety concerns, and maintain a clean work environment.
- Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
- Maintain and optimize production machinery, equipment, and utilities.
- Input new equipment into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and develop preventive maintenance programs.
- Oversee safety analysis, troubleshooting, and equipment optimization.
- Support mechanical, electrical, and process issues, contributing to production goals.
- Serve as part of the food safety team and assist with fire safety system inspections and environmental incidents.
- Supervise and manage maintenance personnel, ensuring performance reviews, training, and job descriptions are up-to-date.
- Participate in recruitment and hiring efforts for new staff.
What will make you stand out
- Strong project management, planning, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of PLC, integrated manufacturing systems, and various plant utility systems (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- 5+ years in manufacturing management with 2+ years of injection molding experience.
- Familiarity with ISO or similar quality systems and software-based maintenance management systems is preferred.
