Jackman, Maine: We invite a confident FAMILY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN to join the medical staff of an established community health center in this scenic close-knit northwestern Maine town just 16 miles south of the Canadian border. This small practice is managed by the states largest FQHC/community health center system, with 1000 employees including over 200 clinical providers across 17 practice sites and service locations. Help fulfill their mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality care to all, regardless of life circumstance.This is a 30-40 hours/week position in a respected small-town medical practice offering all ages primary care, supported by a highly dynamic team that includes an onsite Clinical Manager and 3 experienced MAs. As the only health center in the area, you will see a wide variety of walk-in urgent care cases too. Take over for a physician who is retiring after 30 years of service here, and who will work alongside you for a while to manage the handoff. Your focus will be on prevention and treatment (and education) relating to injury and illness, practicing in a modern facility (recently renovated) with EMR and an onsite lab.
