We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong interest in financial analysis and government finance to join our team as a Financial Analyst.

Job Overview:
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data to support decision-making and improve profitability within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting for capital projects and municipal bonds.
• Assist in the development and management of budgets, ensuring alignment with government regulations and financial requirements.
• Support monthly and annual reconciliations and the financial close process.
• Research and analyze applicable laws, contracts, and financial policies related to government entities.
• Provide insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and government financial auditing standards (GAGAS).
Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques and financial acumen
- Experience in cost accounting, quantitative research, and governmental accounting is a plus
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from a 4-year accredited university.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, with a preference for government finance or public sector experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and GAGAS (Government Auditing Standards).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software (experience with SAP is a plus).
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
