EWB Private Equity was founded in 2012, and has grown its loan portfolio to over $2.5 billion in only six years; it now banks over 400 individual client entities. The group has clients in every major pocket of capital in both the U.S. and in China, ranging in size from $100MM in AUM to over $100 billion. Private Equity is the largest specialized industry group in the Bank.
East West Bank is currently seeking a Sr. Credit Analyst in our Private Equity banking group. The Sr. Credit Analyst will work with the team’s Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to perform due diligence, underwrite new credit facilities and to monitor and maintain the loan portfolio. Primary responsibilities include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests, monitoring loan covenants, and processing advances and paydowns.
Responsibilities
- Work with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to prepare credit memorandums for senior management, with comprehensive analysis, for prospective and existing clients
- Assist with portfolio management, including reporting monitoring and updating internal reports and compliance programs
- Support senior officers in all aspects of underwriting and closing deals and managing existing relationships.
- Respond to client requests from client private equity firms
- Complete special projects as needed for other team members and senior management.
- Notes policy exceptions and possible mitigates
- Assist in preparing the proposal to loan committee for decision
- May collect information as part of analysis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, banking administration or similar field; 1-2 years related experience and/or training in credit analysis
- Current college senior or recent graduate with 1-3 years of experience, ideally with credit training or experience in financial modeling and analysis
- Strong writing and communication skills are critical
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work within set timelines while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with focus on quality and integrity
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with lending procedures, laws, and regulations
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $67,000.00/Yr. - USD $91,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
