You'll invest the majority of your time in these key areas:
- Providing leadership to Sanitation associates - managing their training, day-to-day work, and discipline.
- Provide leadership in the implementation and auditing of Quality Systems and sanitation procedures, to ensure customers’ expectations and food safety requirements are met.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed and report quality metrics to other members of the management team.
- Audit all food safety-related quality processes to ensure Quality and sanitation group leaders and technicians are maintaining all process parameters.
- Work with the Quality Systems Manager, production and packaging staff to continually improve and maintain the quality of existing product.
- Develop a working knowledge of equipment (adjustment and troubleshooting maximizing output and quality by controlling process parameters) to support coaching and mentorship of team members.
(PROFILE)
- Prior experience in food processing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of GFSI, government, and industry quality assurance codes and standards
- Strong Computer skills required
- Must be flexible to support business needs that include weekends and other off-shifts
- Preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English
