Our client is a well-known Design/Build contractor in Grand Rapids, MI. They have been family owned and operated since the 1960s and prides themselves on repeat business, subcontractor relationships and a progressive culture. They seek a Project Manager due to business growth.
- Projects include Healthcare, Multifamily and Industrial
- Project locations are within a 2-hour radius of Grand Rapids, budgets between $5M - $30M
- Average tenure on PM staff is 14 years
- Heavy emphasis on technology adaptation, such as ProCore
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project owners, inspectors, contractors, architects, and engineers
- Negotiates revisions, changes, and additions with owners, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors for changes in scope of work
- Responsible for the management of the construction contract(s) and/or work orders.
- Collaborate with other Project Manager(s) in the office, as necessary.
- Collaborate and monitor Superintendent(s) performance on contracts and/or work orders.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships for expanded or new work opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related field, preferred
- 3+ years of Commercial Construction experience
- Familiarity with construction management software, Procore experience is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of submittals, RFI’s, and project close out procedures
- Ability to monitor schedule developments and updates with the Project Superintendent to ensure projects are on schedule
- Knowledgeable of applicable OSHA safety requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi task
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary between $90,000 and $110,000, depending on project experience
- Yearly Profit Sharing, circa 15%
