Halbrook Wood has immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal to become part of our team working in the areas of employment law and business litigation. You will conduct vital paralegal duties for Attorneys and Partners in a busy, civil law firm.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Request, receive, process, distribute and/or produce documents related to cases
- Prepare, proof, and/or finalize memos, correspondence, reports and court pleadings
- Prepare for, attend and assist with calls, meetings, depositions, mediations, and trial
- Calendar deadlines, events, reminders
- Organize and maintain case files
- Research skills
- Strong personal ethics
- Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented attitude, and superior attention to detail
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and timelines
Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate minimum
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
- Must be comfortable with technology
- Ability to work overtime if needed
