Our client s a leader in healthcare innovation, focused on improving patient outcomes through technology. Their mission is to develop secure, scalable cloud-based solutions that empower healthcare providers and enhance patient care. They are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Cloud Engineer to join their team and drive the development of their next-generation healthcare technology platform.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop scalable cloud-based applications and services for healthcare use cases, such as patient data management, telemedicine, and health information exchanges.
- Ensure the cloud infrastructure and applications are compliant with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cybersecurity teams to implement secure, compliant, and resilient solutions.
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices, APIs, and serverless solutions that scale with patient and provider needs.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, management, and scaling to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency in a healthcare environment.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments for high availability, security, and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud and software issues, particularly related to healthcare data privacy and security.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s technical growth.
- Stay updated on healthcare technology trends, particularly in cloud computing, and ensure best practices are applied.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a focus on healthcare applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Java.C# and Go are a plus.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and FHIR.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices in healthcare cloud environments, including encryption, access control, and auditing.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare-focused, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer.
- Experience with healthcare-specific technologies and standards like HL7, FHIR, and EHR integration.
- Familiarity with healthcare data analytics, machine learning, or AI for clinical applications.
- Experience with healthcare monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, CloudWatch) and logging solutions.
