The Board Operator ISBL’s primary responsibility is to ensure all Distributed Control System (DCS) are operated safely and efficiently, within defined operational and integrity limits specified in the Master Alarm Data Base (MADB). The Board Operator will monitor DCS parameters and anticipate deviations in accordance with Operation Management System (OMS) standards, as well as execute safe startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures while assisting maintenance and other support groups for optimal facility reliability, availability, and utilization.
The Board Operator will interact directly with a large group of stakeholders from various asset disciplines (Maintenance, Engineers, HSSE, C&P), contractors, and vendors, necessitating the completion of leadership, HSSE, and soft skills-specific training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with ISBL operators, including guiding them on critical tasks and being attentive to the their observations and comments. Work seamlessly with other Board operators (OSBL and other trains operators), to maintain smooth control of the entire complex.
• Drive day-to-day compliance to Ensure Safe Production (ESP) requirements within the UCR and proactively monitor all plant equipment to quickly identify changes to equipment health, and communicate changes and concerns to the Control Room Supervisors.
• Conduct all approved process/equipment adjustments within design parameters to mitigate threats or potential loss of production, or to optimize operating parameters to increase overall plant efficacy. Escalate information to the Control Room Supervisors, if there are constraints to carry out theses adjustments.

Escalate information to the Control Room Supervisors, if there are constraints to carry out theses adjustments.
• Adhere to schedule for plant start-up and shut-down activities taking into consideration maintenance work, equipment availability and overall safety and create quality work orders (WO), including being active in the review and amendment of WO’s where necessary.
• Review all start-up, normal operating, and maintenance safe operating procedures and other related documents including work instructions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Make recommendations for changes where applicable, Work closely with Engineering, Day operation, and optimization team in alarm management and optimization of plant operations.
• Ensure proper and rigorous use of HSSE risk assessments and operational processes to preserve the integrity, safety, security, and operability of process systems and assets.
• Monitors all ISBL plant operating parameters (Front end, and liquefications units) on the DCS to identify potential opportunities for improvement, risks or issues associated with process deviations, and equipment defects or abnormalities in order to rectify promptly.
• Coordinate operation activities with third parties for delivery of power, feed gas, and LNG/Condensate loading activities.
• Perform duties as required by the Emergency Response Team according to the Emergency Response Plan including participating in emergency response drills and training.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team diagnosing and troubleshooting process and maintenance related issues including developing and following all lessons learned.
• May require travelling for meetings and/or training.
• Work rotating twelve (12) hour shift system, including night shift, weekends, and holidays required. With respect to the Site's fatigue management procedure, you may be required to work longer hours on occasion due to plant requirements such as commissioning, start-up/shutdown, and turnaround activities.
