Busy manufacturing company has a classical Industrial Engineering job opening. Entry level is OK.
- Develop plant layouts, plant scheduling, production standards and production routing procedures.
- Recommend automated material handling equipment. Recommend changes that increase productivity.
- Perform work measurement studies, and develop the most efficient flow of materials, considering manpower, equipment, machine capacities, and plant layout.
- Analyze production operations. Determine the most efficient operator methods, and individual workstation assignments.
- Create, manage and track cost reduction projects, support Lean and Six Sigma program.
- Develop and submit budgets for all areas of responsibility, including cost justifications for capital equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or other engineering. Minimum of two to four years’ experience in cost reduction, process and productivity improvement especially in a manufacturing operation.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering processes and practices, advanced mathematics including statistics, administrative management and supervisory techniques, warehouse design and layout, Warehouse Management and Warehouse control systems.
- Proficiency in Engineered Work Standards. Working knowledge of OPEX/Lean/Six Sigma, preferably Green belt certification.
